Creating a page using brads, eyelets, snaps, buttons, and fibers:
"Big Top Birthday"
Here is an example of using brads, eyelets, snaps, buttons, fibers,
stickers, clips, textured paper, and patterned paper.
Here is what we need to get started:

Hammer; fibers; textured paper; medium sized round paper punch; a fine line
pen; primary multi colored brads, snaps, eyelets, and buttons;
X-acto-craft knife; Mat Stacks Matting paper; patterned paper; a cushioned craft
mat (to protect your table); a decorative clip; alphabet stickers; Glue Dots
adhesive; eyelet setting tool, and photos.
Once you have chosen the photos that you want to use, adhere the matting paper
to the back of the photos. You may choose to mat with a patterned paper as
well. Figure out where you would like your photos to be positioned on the
paper.
Add your title for your page (alphabet stickers were used here).
Next add other embellishments, such as brads, eyelets, snaps, and buttons.
String fibers through eyelets and tape to back of paper using an acid-free
adhesive.
Last, but not least... add your journaling.

Below: Using a medium sized circle punch, we punched
each corner of a rectangle piece of red paper to make a ticket. We added
"Admit One" using alphabet rubber stamps. We adhered a button
star with Glue Dots and clipped it on with a spiral clip. We added a title
using alphabet stickers. Notice the snaps in each corner of this
photo. We used an eyelet setting tool, and hammer to set unto page.
See instructions below for using an eyelet tool.
The alphabet stickers used were Sharon Soneff Sonnets™
Embossed Sticker Alphabets "Flea Market". These are highly recommended
as they are inexpensive and last for many projects (there is about 4 of each
letter!) and we just love 'em!
You can find these at a great price at www.CreateForLess.com
We set these eyelets into the page, so that the fibers could go through them.
We added buttons with Glue Dots.
See instructions below for setting eyelets.

To set an eyelet or snap, you must use an eyelet setting tool. You will
also need a cushioned craft mat and a hammer.
EYELETS:
You will need to first pierce a tiny hole using a specific
tool made especially for this, or you can use an X-acto knife. Screw the knife
in a circle until the hole is large enough to set the eyelet base into.
Once in, turn paper around to the back. Set the eyelet setting tool into
the center and hit with your hammer. This flattens the eyelet base,
therefore flattening your eyelet and setting it into the paper. Make sure to use
a cushioned mat to protect your surface.
SNAPS:
You may set snaps this same way. Buttons may be
glued using Glue Dots, or sewn on.
BRADS:
To attach brads, you will want to get out your X-acto
knife and cushioned mat again... Make a tiny slice in your paper where you want
your brad to go. Stick your brad in, turn your paper over and push each
side of the prong down to make it flush with the paper.
