{Work Area Woes}

Work area-woes... Where do you scrapbook?

Finding space for your scrapbooking endeavors can be trying, to say the least.  But, if you get over that hurdle, the next one is organization.  (ugh).  Here are some ideas for organizing all of your scrapbooking supplies, and still leaving room to scrapbook!

Here are some favorite picks for a beautiful and organized scrapbook room:

If space permits,  consider purchasing a banquet style folding table: Multi-Use Long Folding Table icon This will allow plenty of room, not only for space to scrap, but to keep everything in arm's reach.
  Next, purchase rolling plastic stacked drawers. These are great for storing your paper (just make sure that the bottom drawer is the right size to hang file folders in to organize your paper). You can organize your paper according to colors, seasonal catagories, etc.

Above is another example for storing paper and keeping it organized.

 H
ow do you organize your stickers and die-cuts, you ask?  Well, the best solution that I have found is the 'Crop in Style' paper/sticker binder (see photo below). The one below comes with 2 each of Standard, Strip and 12''x12'' insert to hold different kinds of paper craft items.  This is wonderful because it keeps your stickers and die-cuts, organized, prevents them from becoming bent or torn or dirty, and can easily be toted to your next crop.

An economical way to store all of your scissors/adhesives/embellishments/etc.  is to purchase small plastic containers with lids (shoeboxes at Target, Walmart, etc. for approx. $1 each).  BUT,  I actually found a small stack of 3 drawers that work perfectly.  They cost about 5.99 each and stack on top of each other.  I bought 12 sets (so far...)  and found them to be perfect!  I store scissors in one drawer (about 8 fit in a drawer), adhesives in the next drawer, paper punches in the next, smaller embellishments in another,  fibers, waxy flax, and thread in another, pens in another, the list goes on.  The other drawers I store all of my rubber stamps, stamp pads, etc..   These drawer bins work perfectly, because they stack and look nice and neat, they keep things organized (which forces me to be organized), and they are so convenient when I am scrapping, to just grab what I need (without digging).  I found mine at my local Meijer grocery store, on sale for 3.99 each. You can also view them online at Sterilite containers...

As far as storing small embellishments, such as, eyelets, brads, beads, and the like,  I have included some great little containers below.

Storing ribbons is easy and convenient now, with the new CraftLocker Ribbon Storage system, as seen below.
